Thank you for writing this! It’s exactly how I felt about Nosferatu/Babygirl and I was so disappointed by the latter. There seems to be such a dearth of English-language films that represent those dynamics well, but I can think of a few French/Spanish ones. I wonder if it’s because good sex is rarely about just sex so good films about sex are rarely about just sex either.
Some of my faves are belle de jour, romance, la prisonnière & that most important thing:love! They’re not particularly realistic/healthy depictions but feel like much more probing and nuanced representations of submission and desire than the American films trying to do the same thing
i wanted to love Baby Girl so bad but it just didn't feel right -- now i have to see Nosferatu! thank uuu

if i remember correctly there’s another spanish film that has some cute kink in it: Kiki, Love To Love
